Beginning this coming fall, Salem Hyde’s NEW School Day is 8:40 AM – 3:10 PM (Student Arrival Begins at 8:30 AM). The first day of school for students is Tuesday, September 8!
Mission Statement
Our mission at Salem Hyde, a progressive elementary school where all members work together to learn and care about each other, is to ensure that all children apply academic and life-enriching skills as they become life-long learners and responsible citizens. This is accomplished through a commitment to high standards and by providing a culture of learning in a nurturing, inclusive, diverse setting, supported by a community of caring philosophy.

Parent Square - Stay Connected
Every SCSD family can use School Tool. With one account, a parent/guardian/caregiver can see information about each of their students enrolled in the SCSD. You can use School Tool from an internet browser on your computer, and you can also download the app on your smartphone. Your access to the School Tool Parent Portal lets you view:
- Current contact information on file
- Student schedule
- Daily and course attendance records
- Discipline notes
- Report cards and, for grades 6-12, progress reports
- Assignments given and points earned for assignments for grades 6-12
Tips to Get Started:
If you have provided the school district with your personal email address, you should be able to use that email address you can use to access the School Tool Parent Portal.
If you have not provided an email address or think that the email address you now use is not in our records, please contact the school secretaries to have the correct email address added.
If you have used the Parent Portal in the past but do not remember your password, or if you have never used the Parent Portal, you can get started by visiting the link below
Enter your email address as your “username.” Then leave “password” blank and click “New User or Forgot Password.” This will take you through the process of setting a password.
